61-year-old Ray Allen has been charged with domestic battery and faces a no-contact order after being accused of assaulting his wife by throwing a sausage at her as they had a verbal dispute.
The assault happened as Allen had an argument with his 64-year-old wife where he struck her on the right side of the face with a sausage.
On Sunday, around 2:40 p.m., EMS workers arrived to the couple’s residence and treated the woman’s injuries, utilizing a saline solution to clean out her eye.
Allen was taken into custody and placed in the county jail on domestic battery charges. He has now been freed on his own recognizance and has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor offense.
In addition to the charge, the judge put a no-contact order in place, banning Allen from having communication with the victim.
