Houston Woman Arrested After Authorities Recover Almost 300 Pounds Of Marijuana During Traffic Stop

The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, in Nevada, has stated that a traffic stop was conducted on Saturday night, leading to the apprehension of a woman who had 298 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle.

Tatiana Ruiz, of Houston, Texas, had been stopped 10 miles south of Hawthorne, Nevada, as she was in a White Chrysler Pacifica. The license plate number of the vehicle was CWT 5245.

Deputies noted that they became suspicious of the driver as the traffic stop took place and asked for a K9 unit.

The dog alerted authorities, and they discovered 298 pounds of marijuana inside six big black duffel bags.

The approximate street value of the marijuana was $1.2 million dollars.

Ruiz has been jailed and charged with trafficking marijuana, obtain/possess credit/debit card of another, and basic speed 1-10 mph over.
