Homicide Investigation Launched After Shooting at Gus Thomasson Road and Ferguson Road, East Dallas

Dallas, TX – March 15, 2025 – A homicide investigation is underway after a shooting incident claimed the life of 21-year-old Christopher Montoya at the intersection of Gus Thomasson Road and Ferguson Road. Emergency responders arrived around 12:20 PM but, unfortunately, pronounced Montoya dead at the scene due to a gunshot wound.

The Dallas Police Department has initiated a thorough investigation, assigning the case the number 036583-2025, which will also be referred to a Grand Jury for further review.
