Home Visits Conducted In Duncanville ISD, Encouraging Students To Re-Enroll

During the pandemic, many families are dealing with challenges and struggles.

In Duncanville ISD, many pupils were supposed to graduate in the spring of 2021. However, they dropped out of school once it went virtual.

On Thursday morning, a group of educators, including the principal of PACE alternative school, began conducting home visits. The goal is to greet ex-high school seniors and persuade them to come back and finish their studies.

“There is not a single student currently enrolled at PACE High School that doesn’t have stuff. And our mission is to help you through your stuff,” Principal Tijuana Hudson stated.

One student who was paid a visit only needs a half of a credit to graduate. If the student goes back to the school, she could finish in person by December. Another option would be to enroll in an online accelerated course and complete the class by next month.
