The man who was hired to kill a Rowlett woman back in 2015 was sentenced to life in prison Monday.
Jesus Trevino was found guilty of capital murder by a jury Monday for the death of Laura Grillo,37.
Grillo’s fiancé Loannis John Markis paid Trevino $15,000 to kill his fiancé a week before their wedding. Trevino took several months to plan the murder before it actually took place.
Authorities also arrested James Villeda a man who Trevino hired agreed to a 25 year plea deal in exchange for his testimony in court. He also told jurors that Trevino paid him $1000 to be the getaway driver and explained the whole plan of the murder to him.
Markis was also sentenced to life without parole in prison for his role in orchestrating the murder.
