Haitian Realtor Found Bound and Lifeless Along New York Highway

543views

A deceased man, found with his hands and feet bound and showing signs of head trauma, has been identified as Emmanuel Moncoeur, a 57-year-old realtor and Haitian immigrant.

This identification comes after his body was discovered near a highway in Queens earlier this week. The medical examiner has ruled his death a homicide, attributing it to blunt force trauma to the head. Moncoeur’s remains were located in the grass beside the Clearview Expressway on Tuesday morning by a motorist with a disability. He had suffered a fractured skull from the impact.

By the time his body was discovered, significant decomposition had occurred, complicating efforts to determine how long he had been in that location.

Moncoeur was last seen on January 2, 2025, and forensic specialists will conduct analyses to estimate the time elapsed since his death.
