Grand Prairie Woman Pours Alcohol On 5 Year Old Stepdaughter’s Face

A Grand Prairie woman has been arrested and charged after she admitted to intentionally setting her 5 year old stepdaughter’s face on fire.
According to reports Grand Prairie police were called out to a home on May 13 because a child had been burned.
When they arrived Dalia Jimenez,20 told officers that while trying to light a candle the child got burned.
After several inconsistencies in her story Jimenez finally admitted to police that she poured rubbing alcohol on the 5 year old girls face and setting her on fire because she wouldn’t stop yelling.
Officers arrested Jimenez and charged her with felony injury to a child. She was released the next day after posting a $20,000 bond.
Child Protective Services have since removed the 5 year old and a younger sibling from the home.
Police say the father was not home at the time and is not expected to face any charges.
