Gov. Greg Abbott Extends State Disaster For COVID-19 Outbreak

Governor Greg Abbott has extended the disaster declaration for all of Texas in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The new declaration has been set for May 13 after originally being set for March 13 when there there were only 39 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Texas.
As of April 12 there were over 13,000 total cases and 271 deaths reported.
Abbott also said the declaration extension does not extend the emergency order for the state and will only provide the state with resources during the pandemic.
