Georgia police are looking for a woman that collected over $30,000 in insurance money in her deceased mothers name.

32 year old Ashlarene Wells is wanted for multiple charges including insurance fraud, forgery and identity theft.

According to reports, in 2021 Wells submitted at least 13 claims under her own personal insurance policy as well as her deceased mothers policy.

During the investigation authorities learned that some of the dates on the claims were impossible because Wells mother had already passed away.

The commissioner John F. King also said he spoke with employees from the care facilities that Wells said she attended and they had no records for the days she listed.

Wells received over $39,000 in funds from those false claims.

On July 5 officials put multiple warrants out for Wells arrest.
