Gas Station Employee Terminated After Throwing Bucket Of Water On Homeless Man During Freezing Conditions

A gas station employee in Louisiana has been terminated after a recording captured her throwing a bucket of water on a homeless man.

The incident occurred on December 26 at Triple S Food Mart in Baton Rouge, and footage of it was uploaded by the worker.

Kasey Young, 44, could be observed walking around the outside of the establishment, carrying a bucket. A man was walking close to her, recording. The temperature outside had been 26 degrees at the time.

Young then threw the bucket of water and said, “Move! Not telling you all again… I’m sick of this s–t. Clean this s–t the f–k up.” Another person is then heard replying, “I’m doing it.”

A man that was overheard before then instructed a homeless person to leave out of the parking lot.

“Y’all got my whole f—–g floor looking like a–,” Young continued.

“When I got the news, I didn’t speak to the employee too much. All I told her was to leave the property because we do not handle situations like that,” stated the store’s owner, Abdul Muflahi.

“For someone to get ice cold water thrown on them in these below-freezing temperatures is just disrespectful. It also could have hurt this person physically,” one activist noted.

Coincidentally, the Triple S Mart is the same place where Alton Sterling was fatally shot by police officers. He was said to have waved a gun around while unlawfully selling cds on the premises. In February 2021, his family agreed to a $4.5 million settlement with the city in a wrongful death lawsuit.

Reports indicate that the homeless person in this matter has now been found and placed in a shelter by officials.

Kasey Young hasn’t only been fired from her place of employment but is expected to face a charge of simple battery, as well.
