Funeral Service Set for Saturday in Memory of Frisco Memorial High Student, Austin Metcalf

A memorial service honoring Austin Metcalf, a student from Frisco ISD, is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, at 10 a.m.

It will take place at Hope Fellowship Frisco East, located at 9950 Rolater Rd. in Frisco. After the memorial, the family will hold a private burial.

Austin Metcalf, 17, sadly passed away on April 2 during a UIL District 11-5A track meet at Kuykendall Stadium.

As reported by authorities, Karmelo Anthony, a 17-year-old student from Centennial High School in Frisco, is alleged to have fatally stabbed Metcalf in the chest during an altercation.

Anthony has been arrested and is charged with first-degree murder. He is currently being held in the Collin County jail, with a bond set at $1 million.
