Fugitive Serial Killer Pleads Guilty To Strangling, Murders Of 3 Dallas Women

A man who jumped bail 18 years ago by fleeing to Mexico from Dallas has been sentenced to life in prison. The sentence was handed down in the strangulation deaths of three Dallas women, according to prosecutors on May 13.
It was confirmed by The Dallas County District Attorney’s Office that Jose Sifuentes pleaded guilty to all three murders. As apart of the plea agreement, Sifuentes was sentenced to three life terms, all to run concurrently.
Sifuentes, 43, DNA was found on all three women. Veronica Hernandez, 27, Maria de Lourdes Perales, 20, and Erica Olivia Hernandez, 23. According to prosecutors, he met up with the victims at local bars and night clubs.
The DNA that had been collected during his 2003 arrest linked Sifuentes to the murders of Perales and Hernandez in 1998. The body of Erica Hernandez was found 4 months later at a construction site.
