2.8kviews

Frisco school district have unanimously voted to extend school days by 10 minutes so they can have a shorter school next year.
The school board members voted to extend school days by 10 minutes for all students and staff for next year.
It will shorten the school year by three days and allow the school year to be over by Memorial Day.
Teachers days and pay will remain the same.
An option they had was to break up the 10 minutes by starting the school day 5 minutes earlier and ending them 5 minutes later.
The district says they did factor in how it would impact the students, the testing days and the amount of time required for teachers to teach.
The changes do not go into effect until the 2020-2021 school year.
