Four Minneapolis Officers Arrested Following The Death Of George Floyd

Four Minneapolis officers have been terminated in connection with the death of a black man that was held down by an officer Monday night.
According to reports officers were called to the intersection of 38th St and Chicago Ave S.
for forgery at a deli and when officers arrived they say Floyd resisted arrest so one of the officers restrained him by putting his knee in Floyd’s neck.
A video taken by an onlooker was posted and showed the officer pinning Floyd to the ground and pressing his knee into his neck as Floyd yells he can’t breath and begs him to please move his knee.
The officer then continued to pin Floyd down after becoming unresponsive until paramedics arrived to the scene with the stretcher.
Floyd was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo announced at a press conference Tuesday afternoon that the four officers involved have been terminated.
The names of the officers have not been released.
