Fort Worth Homeowner Shoots Family Member As He Tries To Enter Through Homes Back Door

An investigation has started after a man was shot by a family member at a residence in a Fort Worth community early Saturday morning.

Authorities say that they answered to a call in the 2500 block of Malvern Trail just after 4 a.m. after being informed of a shooting in the vicinity.

Police stated that initial information revealed that a man who is the homeowner’s cousin was attempting to enter the residence through the back door when his cousin shot multiple times through the door.

Authorities say that the man was hit once in the leg. When police found him, he was transported to a medical facility and is expected to survive.

It isn’t known if charges will be filed, and no more information was provided.
