Former Teacher Sentenced to 60 Days In Prison After Admitting to Having Sex With 13-Year-Old Student
A teacher who admitted to having sexual relations with a 13-year-old student was sentenced to 60 days in prison.
32-year-old Marka Bodine, a former middle school teacher in Harris County, was arrested in April of last year for continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14.
Bodine admitted to having a 3-year-long relationship with a student that started when he was only 13. She also admitted to sending him inappropriate text messages, photos, and videos which eventually led to sex.
The victim, who just recently turned 13 when the sexual abuse started in 2018, says the two of them had sex in the classroom and in Bodine’s car many times.
Harris County Judge George Glass presided over the case and handed down the 60-day prison sentence on Tuesday. After she’s released from prison, she will be on probation for 10 years and have to register as a sex offender.
Despite being sentenced on Tuesday, Judge Glass gave Bodine, who recently had a baby, until June 5, 2023 to turn herself in.
The baby is not related to the victim.

Cont. “60” days is NOT enough. If it was a man he would ha e gotten 60 years. New born ot not.
But that tells you, she wasn’t so thirsty.
