An ex Nebraska police officer awaiting trial after the murder of his girlfriend was found dead from what appeared to be a self inflicted gunshot wound Sunday.
According to reports former Bellevue officer Craig Wiech,55 was found around 2:30am outside an apartment.
Wiech was accused of assaulting an officer and firefighter back in 2018 while at the scene of his girlfriends murder.
His girlfriend Carrie Brown was found fatally shot inside their apartment they shared together.
Wiech allegedly punched a fire truck, swung on a firefighter and punched an officer in the chest.
