In 2022, Kyron Henderson, a star player for the Dallas Kimball Knights, was playing for the state championship in San Antonio. That is when Henderson is accused of taking a gun on the team bus.
Authorities say that the gun went off, hurting one of the trainers on the team.
A warrant for aggravated assault had been issued for Henderson. However, before he could be apprehended by authorities in San Antonio, he went back to Dallas and didn’t surrender.
Later, in April 2023, Henderson was apprehended by police in Dallas for aggravated robbery.
Investigators say that he was luring people on Facebook, acting as if he was purchasing laptops and then robbing them at gunpoint.
He was later released on bond with an ankle monitor.
However, just 10 days after that, Henderson was apprehended again for violating his bond conditions. He had been in places that had been forbidden.
On May 10, Henderson was let go again and was supposed to have an ankle monitor placed on him again. But, he left out of the Dallas County jail when he wasn’t permitted to.
Authorities say that right after that, Henderson began robbing again. That is when they swiftly apprehended him for four other aggravated robberies.
Henderson is now looking at decades in prison although his future had once been bright.
