A Florida woman, Allison Fetting, has been charged with armed robbery after allegedly holding up a Dairy Queen at gunpoint but only making off with $1.50. The incident reportedly occurred in February 2024 in Coconut Creek, Florida, while Fetting was already in custody for other armed robbery and drug possession charges. She was transferred to Broward County ahead of a court hearing scheduled for March 26 related to the Dairy Queen robbery.
According to the police, Fetting entered the restaurant and brandished a handgun, demanding money from employees. However, she was unable to access the cash register and only managed to steal coins from the tip jar before fleeing. Fortunately, no one was harmed during the attempted robbery.
Fetting, 44, has a criminal history, including a three-year prison sentence in 2003 for offenses such as aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and grand theft. As of now, it is unclear whether she has legal representation or has entered pleas regarding the new charges.
