61-year-old Simeon Hendrickson, an instructor of firearm training classes, unintentionally shot his wife. He then shot himself. The incident occurred as the man had been cleaning his gun, at his residence, in Bolingbrook, Illinois, on Saturday.
Authorities say that Hendrickson’s gun accidentally discharged, and a bullet hit his wife, 60-year-old Laurie Hendrickson.
Simeon Hendrickson died at the location as his wife passed away at a medical facility.
It isn’t known if Simeon called authorities for help, or if a neighbor had heard the gunshot and called for assistance.
