One of the members of a Detroit rap group, Dueces Wild, is on the run from the U.S. Department of Justice. This comes after the female duo was charged in relation to a multimillion-dollar money scheme.

Sameerah “Creme” Marrel and Noelle Brown, the two female rappers, are looking at up to 10 years in prison. The U.S. Department of the Treaury stated that they defrauded the IRS of more than $5 million. They said that it was done through an extensive tax operation.

After their apprehension in July 2021, Marrel and Brown were freed on bond. Federal investigators have said that the women had filed several fraudulent tax returns for estates and trusts created under businesses filed between 2013 and 2017. The investigation also showed that the rappers fraudulently submitted tax returns for trusts as they took the identities of others without them knowing.

The women were charged with aggravated identity theft, false claims, and conspiracy.

Brown has consistently been in contact with her lawyer and the courts. On the other hand, Marrel has disappeared and hasn’t been seen since July 2022. Her bond has been revoked.

Marrel told her lawyer that she would be in court on Oct. 19 but never showed up. Authorities are now searching for her.
