FedEx Driver Charged After Stealing French Bulldog From Family, Leaving The Pet To Die In Hot Truck

44-year-old Kimani Joehon Marshall, a FedEx driver, is accused of stealing a French bulldog from a family in North Carolina and throwing it inside of his hot work truck. The dog then died as Marshall continued to work, delivering packages.

According to the New York Post, Marshall is said to have stolen the $5,500 pet, Tori, with the purpose of breeding. He has now been terminated.

It is reported that Marshall was familiar with the individuals that owned Tori and had asked them about breeding it with one of his dogs. However, the owners did not want to.

Then, as Marshall was delivering packages in the community on July 3, he is accused of stealing the dog from the family’s yard.

Although the family looked all over for the dog and hung flyers in the neighborhood, it is assumed that the dog had already been dead.

This was validated on July 7 when officials from the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office discovered Tori dead. They believe that the dog died from a heatstroke or something similar due to the hot temperature inside of the truck.

Marshall surrendered to deputies on Monday and is facing charges of larceny of a dog, possession of stolen goods, and cruelty to animals.

His bond was placed at $50,000.
