Indiana father, Cameron Parks, 43, was arrested after being accused of shooting his son’s football coach.

The 36 year-old coach was shot on November 22 at 2a.m. He was transported to a medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries.

Parks is said to have held a neighbor at gunpoint to knock on the door of the coach’s residence. Parks shot the victim in the leg when he opened the door.

Investigators learned that the two had an altercation at a football game. It may have been over an injury the 8 year-old sustained or him being put in the game.

Witnesses say that Parks threatened the coach and his girlfriend while at the hospital, saying “they would have to move or live in fear.”

It was also noted that before the shooting, Parks had been calling the coach and leaving threatening messages.

Parks faces aggravated battery, kidnapping, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, battery by means of a deadly weapon, and intimidation and pointing a firearm charges.
