Father Released From Jail To Attend Daughter’s Funeral, Now Wanted Fugitive

A father is now wanted after being temporarily released for his daughter’s funeral.
Joe Fletcher, 34, is wanted by the Akron Police Department.
Fletcher was previously wanted by Akron Police in 2015.
He previously served a four-year prison sentence for illegal possession of a firearm.
According to court documents, Fletcher was released without any security measures.
No guards or GPS monitor had been set up.
The judge told Fletcher that he could only attend the funeral home and local hall from 9am to 7pm on Wednesday.
Fletcher failed to return to prison after being released into his mother’s custody to attend funeral services.
There is a $5,000 award for any information leading up to his arrest.
He is deemed armed and dangerous.
Fletcher is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, as well as possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Update: Police have arrested Joe Fletcher on Friday. US Marshals found him hiding out in a woman’s basement on Allyn Street in Akron.
According to U.S. Marshal Peter Elliott, tipsters provided him the whereabouts of Fletcher.
Charges are expected to be brought against the person living in the home.
