Father Grabs Gun From Son’s Hand During Shootout With Police And Opens Fire

A shooting turns deadly early Sunday morning after a young man opens fire on NYPD.

The incident happened around 4am on Valentine Ave near 180th St in Tremont, when two off duty police officers spotted Mike Rosado,24 shooting at a man on the street.

According to reports Rosado and his father, Raphael Rosado,45 had been arguing with a group of people on the corner when it turned physical.
Mike pulled out a handgun and opened fire at the group of people.

At this time the off duty officers identified themselves and asked Mike to drop his weapon.
In return he began shooting at the officers and they returned fire striking Mike.
Officers immediately began rendering aid and transported him to St. Barnabas Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The two off duty officers were taken to Jacobi Medical Center for ringing in their ears.
His father Raphael then took the gun from his sons hand and opened fire at the police.
Officers fired back but no one was injured.

The father was later arrested and taken into custody.
He faces multiple charges.
