Father Drowns Trying To Save His Children After They Fell Into A Denton Lake

A father died after trying to sabe his two children that fell off of a boat into a private Denton lake Monday.
According to reports a family was in a boat on a private lake fishing when the 4 year old son lost his fishing pole and fell into the water, then the 11 year old daughter fell in while trying to save her brother and the father fell in trying to save both of them.
The son had on the only life jacket but him and his sister were able to get back into the boat.
The father went under and divers had to swim out to the boat and push it back to shore.
The family was transported to a nearby hospital where the father died and the mother and children were treated for hypothermia exposure.
