A Wyoming father has been arrested and charged with the murder of his 2 year old daughter.
The incident happened back in February when Kambria Brewer received a phone call that her two year old daughter, Khalise Brewer, had been shot and killed.
Kambria says she took her daughter over the baby father, Seninta Parks,26, apartment for a visit on the 2400 block of Meyer Avenue SW.
She told authorities that she dropped her off Monday and planned to pick her up Wednesday.
Kambria says before she could pick her daughter up she received a call that Parks fatally shot his daughter and then turned the gun on himself.
Parks was transported to an area hospital where he survived. A few days later he was released from the hospital and transported to jail where he was held without bond. Unfortunately, Khalise was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wyoming police believe the shooting happened because in December a judge ordered Parks to pay $167 a month in child support.
Parks was on parole after his release from prison on a 2012 armed robbery conviction. He also has a history of weapons violations and domestic violence.
He is being charged with open murder, firing a gun causing death inside a building, illegal firearm possession and two counts of felony firearms.
