A father has been arrested in connection with the death of his 3 year old son in Dallas.
According to reports police responded to a stabbing call on the 8600 block of Old Hickory Trail Saturday evening and when they arrived they found a 3 year old boy allegedly stabbed by his father inside the apartment.
The mother was also stabbed but was able to flee the apartment with their 7 year old daughter and go to a neighbors house to call for help.
Police arrested the father Brandon Edwards,35 on the scene after he jumped off the second floor of his apartment. 
The mother and 3 year old were transported to a nearby hospital where the toddler was pronounced dead and the mother was listed in stable condition. The 7 year old was uninjured. 
Edwards was taken into custody and charged with aggaravated assault with a deadly weapon and capital murder of a person under 10. His bond is set for $1 million.
