Denton police was involved in a fatal shooting Friday with a man accused of killing his girlfriend in Ft.Worth.
According to reports Marlon Bonds,53 was wanted for murder after he shot and killed his girlfriend Thursday and then threatened to kill others.
Officers responded to a welfare check call on the 6200 block of August Run Lane and when they arrived they found a woman deceased inside the home.
Denton County Sheriffs were working with US Marshal’s Task to help locate Bonds.
He was located Friday on 5005 S.Interstate 35E at a Buc-ee’s gas station where police blocked him in from escaping.
He then went into his vehicle and pulled out a weapon in which authorities opened fire striking the suspect multiple times.
He was taken to Medical City Denton where he was pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported.
This investigation is ongoing.
