Fatal Car Accident in Arlington: 22-Year-Old Man Killed by Allegedly Drunk Driver; Suspects Arrested

A 22-year-old man lost his life in a car accident on Saturday night when his vehicle was struck by an allegedly drunk driver on I-20 in Arlington.

The police arrived at the scene after the man’s car, parked on the highway shoulder, was rear-ended by a Ford F-150, causing it to collide with a concrete wall and catch fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and found the deceased man inside the vehicle.

Witnesses reported seeing three men flee from the pickup truck, who were later apprehended. The driver, 25-year-old Cesar Ramirez Castro, has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter and causing a collision resulting in death. His passengers, Marcelino Ramirez-Ramirez, 30, and Daniel Castro Zammarron, 24, were also charged with public intoxication.

The victim’s identity remains undisclosed.
