Farmers Branch Officer That Killed A Suspect In A Stolen Truck Case Being Sent To Grand Jury

The case against a Farmers Branch officer that shot and killed a suspect in a stolen pickup truck will be brought before a grand jury.
According to DPD Farmers Branch officers were investigating a stolen vehicle near the 11400 block of Emerald Street on June 12 when they spotted the suspect Juan Moreno,35.
Farmers Branch officers tried to pull the pickup truck over in the parking lot but the suspect began driving off and that’s when the unidentified officer shot and killed Moreno.
Nearby surveillance footage from a store caught the shooting and detectives have reviewed footage.
Family of Moreno are asking for justice and say they don’t believe he deserved to die behind a stolen car.
This investigation is still ongoing.
