As of early Thursday, Facebook had lost over 20% of its value. This could be because TikTok is extremely popular right now, and Mark Zuckerberg seems to know it.
In the last three months of the year, Facebook’s daily logins decreased by 500k. That means that only 1.93 billion users are on the app everyday.
Although it is still a huge number, it makes a difference when money is involved.
On Wednesday, Meta lost about $200 billion, going down 22.6% in value on the stock exchange.
Zuckerberg believes that the cause of the drop is that people are using other apps, like TikTok. This is a big deal for Zuckerberg because he lost $29 billion, himself.
Facebook seems to be having a couple of issues lately, congress trying to place regulations on the company and losing the interest of younger people.
