Ex-U.S. Gymnastics Doctor Larry Nassar Stabbed Several Times In Federal Prison

On Sunday, close to 2:35 p.m., 59-year-old Larry Nassar was stabbed several times in a prison. This came after he was in a disturbance with another inmate.

The incident occurred inside of the United States Penitentiary Coleman, in Florida.

Nassar is said to have several wounds to his back and chest. Life-saving measures had to be taken, and he was transported to a medical facility where he is reported to be in stable condition. No one else was hurt in the occurrence.

Nassar was sentenced to decades of years in prison after hundreds of female gymnasts testified that he sexually assaulted them.

The attack that occurred on Friday wasn’t the first time that Nassar had an altercation with another inmate. In 2018, he was assaulted for multiple hours after being placed in the general population in the United States Penitentiary in Tucson, Arizona.

This is what caused him to be transferred to the United States Penitentiary Coleman, initially.

An investigation is on-going.
