An ex-school resource officer for the Caddo Mills Police Department was given a 12-year prison sentence. This came after he pled guilty to indecency with a child by sexual contact, coming from his apprehension in November of 2022.
26-year-old Ray Jimenez, from Rockwall, Texas, was placed in jail last Thursday after he was sentenced. He will now be taken to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Jimenez was first arrested on November 4, 2022, by Royse City police for the offense.
He had been employed with Caddo Mills PD since September 21, 2021; however, he resigned after he was taken into custody. He was listed as one of the department’s school resources officers.
Jimenez could have received up to 20 years in prison as indecency with a child by sexual contact is a second-degree felony.
