Joel Jones, the deputy fire chief of Everman, Texas, has been arrested and is facing charges of aggravated sexual assault and criminal solicitation in connection with a disturbing incident involving a woman. The charges arise from a violent event that took place on February 21, during which 30-year-old Tobasia Griffiths allegedly attacked the victim as part of a premeditated plot that originated on a hook-up app.

Following the assault, Jones is reported to have encouraged the attack and provided financial assistance to Griffiths. Both men are now facing serious legal consequences, and Jones has been placed on administrative leave while the Everman Fire Department conducts an internal investigation. Deputy Fire Chief Joel Jones and Tobasia Griffiths are both facing multiple charges, including aggravated sexual assault, related to their alleged conspiracy to sexually assault a woman through the hook-up app. Jones is currently being held on a $300,000 bond, while Griffiths has secured release after posting a $25,000 bond.
