It’s been less than a week since Popeyes “chicken sandwich” was reintroduced to the menu and already we’ve had fights, a death and now an employee selling chicken sandwiches on the side.
This incident happened not even a week after the fatal stabbing of a man at a Maryland Popeyes.
Reports say an employee for Popeyes was caught selling chicken sandwiches on the side and multiple employees joined together to fight the employee.
A spokesperson for Popeyes released a statement saying “We are saddened to hear about this senseless act of violence.”
“We along with the franchise, are fully cooperating with local authorities and actively working to gather more information.”
Despite all the chaos Popeyes will not be removing the sandwich from its menu.
The employees name selling the sandwiches and the store location have not been released at this time.
It is unclear if the employee selling the sandwiches on the side will face criminal charges.
