A funeral home van transporting two deceased bodies had to be rescued by Dallas Fire Rescue after becoming trapped in floodwaters overnight.
On January 30, around 3:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a call regarding a minivan stuck in high water near White Rock Lake.
Upon arriving they learned that a vehicle had became entrapped after entering a flooded area during the night.
Emergency crews found water reaching the van’s windows and were able to successfully rescue the driver and a passenger. There were but two bodies inside the van that remained.
Once the water level receded, responders were able to approach the van, secure a tow cable, and pull it to safety. The bodies were then transferred to another vehicle.
No further details regarding the incident have been released.
