Elizabeth Francis, A Houston Resident, Turns 115 Years Old, Now The Oldest Living Person In The U.S.

Elizabeth Francis, who resides in Houston, Texas, is celebrating after she has turned 115 years old.

According to KVUE, on Thursday, Francis became the oldest living person in the United States as she was born in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana, in 1909.

She now resides with her daughter who is 94 years old.

Francis has lived through many memorable times, including two world wars, the implementation of color TV, and the first person to land on the moon. Not only that, she has also seen 20 U.S. presidents be inaugurated throughout her lifetime.

In total, there are three people that are older than Francis throughout the world. Two are 116 years old, and the third is 117 years old.
