On Tuesday, April 12, Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrested a teacher for two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Hiromi Adams,37 is a first grade teacher at Bowen Elementary School and on Tuesday she was exhibiting concerning behavior that caught the attention of other teachers.
The School Resource Officer, Edwin Vasquez was notified by school administrators regarding Adams behavior.
Adams was sent to the nurses office for her behavior where SRO Vasquez met her.
Teachers told Vasquez they saw Adams going into the restroom before leaving the school.
Vasquez along with other school administrators performed a search on the restroom and found a pill bottle with Adams name on it. Inside the bottle they found a red straw, a half a green pill and a plastic baggie containing green powder.
A field test determined that the green powder was a positive result of MDMA aka Molly.
Adams was located off school grounds and arrested by Deputy Neil Rosaci. Officers also found Suboxone. Adams was arrested and taken to Marion County Jail.
