The Duncanville High School girls’ basketball team is preparing for the state’s top title.
On Friday, March 1, the game will begin at 7 p.m. at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The Pantherettes will be competing against Humble Summer Creek.
The Duncanville High School Girls’ Basketball Program has had many accomplishments. This includes winning 11 UIL State Championships, with multiple Pantherette alumni receiving McDonald’s All-American honors. In addition to that, many more have played basketball at college and WNBA levels.
The Pantherettes’ coach, Neiman Ford has coached for 20 years, but this is his first year with the Pantherettes.
“This is a talented team that gives their all on the court and in the classroom. I’m proud of their hard work and effort this season,” Ford stated.
“Coach Ford has a track record of success and has equipped our young ladies for the competition they will face this weekend,” noted Interim Superintendent Andrea Fields.
Congratulations Team and to my niece Assistant Coach Tyler Thompson!!
