A woman is being charged with driving while intoxicated after she struck and killed a pedestrian Friday night.
On August 25, Dallas police responded to a call regarding a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle on the 6000 block of Abrams Road, around 8 p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene authorities learned that 26 year old Kyli Phillips was driving northbound when she struck and killed 63 year old Howard Green.
Green was crossing the street when he was struck by a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by Phillips. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers attempted to perform field sobriety tests with Phillips but she refused.
Phillips was then taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Her bond is set at $75,000. It is unclear if she will face any more charges.
Police records indicate this is Phillips third DWI since 2018.
