49-year-old Hector Manuel Castro-Quirino, a cocaine and meth trafficker who hid over $1.5M in a South Dallas trap house, was given over 20 years in federal prison on Wednesday.

Castro-Quirino pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances in September 2022.

Court records show that an informant told authorities about the residence on South Acres Dr. in Dallas.

After keeping surveillance on the home and making undercover purchases, a SWAT team raided the residence on July 13, 2021.

Agents and officers discovered 594 grams of meth and over 1,440 grams of cocaine in the residence. 14 guns and $1,595,185 in cash were also found.

The money had been located inside of tube socks, shoe boxes, a trash bag, and a bankers box.

Later on, Castro-Quirino told authorities that he had gotten a kilogram of cocaine every week and a kilogram of meth every month. He added that he sold the drugs regularly, plea documents note.

Vanessa Cervantes, Castro-Quirino’s common law wife, managed the books for the operation. She was given a 21-month prison sentence.
