A double shooting in Desoto leaves one man injured and another dead Friday morning.
The incident happened around 6:20am, when Desoto police received a call regarding a shooting.
Officers responded to a shooting call on the 700 block of Eldorado Dr.
Upon arrival they found Kristian Tyerone Smith,22 outside the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
He was transported to an area hospital with his condition unknown.
Once inside Wendon Lekeith Blair,25 was found unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead.
During the investigation officers learned that there was a small gathering inside the home.
Smith knocked on the door demanding to see a woman that was inside.
When Blair did not allow Smith inside he was shot.
Blair was able to exchange gunfire and shoot back but succumbed to his injuries.
