A DoorDash delivery driver was shot and killed in Mitchellville, Maryland, on Thursday morning.
When police arrived at the scene on Lottsford Vista Rd., they located 48 year-old Noel Njoku and saw that he had gunshot wounds. After being transported to a medical facility, he died from his injuries.
Police haven’t been able to locate any suspects or determine a motive.
Noela, Njoku’s spouse, said she was married to her husband for 19 years. She stated that he was “quiet, peaceful, hardworking, and a caring man.”
She felt that something wasn’t right when her husband wasn’t responding to her phone calls. She has pleaded for the suspect/s to turn themselves in.
DoorDash released a statement, offering condolences to the family. They added that safety is a top priority for them and will partner with police to help where they can.
In addition to his wife, Njoku is survived by four children.
