Six Dallas cafeteria employees from T.W. Browne Middle School will appear on the cover of Time magazines April 20 issue for honoring heroes in the frontline.
The cover will feature Browne’s cafeteria manager Yolanda Fisher and five of her assistants Porsche Lacey, Keke Lafayette, Shannon Wiggins, Pamela Harrington and Katrina Parker as workers who put themselves at risk during the COVID-19 crisis to help others.
Since the schools have been closed down on March 23 the staff has helped deliver over one million grab and go meals to families since the district has closed its doors.
Times CEO editor and chief Edward Felsenthal says his magazine features some of the most influential people who have helped shape the world and during this COVID-19 crisis this issue is dedicated to all the hard workers that get out and risk their life on the front line and can’t stay home.
