Democrats Introduce A New Bill That Could Get You An Additional $2000 A Month

Democrats introduced a new plan Tuesday that could put a little extra cash in your pocket for the next six months.
The bill would be under the new Emergency Money for the People Act and would allow anyone over the age of 16 years old that makes less than $130,000 a year to be eligible.
If the bill passed you would receive $2000 dollars a month for six months and if you carried any dependents you would receive an additional $500 per month per child for up to three children.
The bill was introduced by Rep. Tim Ryan, a former presidential candidate and Rep. Ro Khanna, the former cochair of Sen. Bernie Sanders’ recently suspended campaign for president.
Khanna argued that the checks are an inadequate response to the crisis and has forced more than 22 million people to file for unemployment over the past four weeks alone.
“A one-time, twelve hundred dollar check isn’t going to cut it,” said Khanna in a statement. “Americans need sustained cash infusions for the duration of this crisis in order to come out on the other side alive, healthy, and ready to get back to work.
