Delonte West, Former NBA Guard and St. Joseph’s University Standout, has landed a job at the rehab facility he attended after Mark Cuban reached out to help him last year, according to reports.
West now has a job at the Rebound therapy center located in Florida, The Athletics’ Shams Charania reports.
Delonte West received treatment at the named facility last year after TMZ reported that Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban picked him up at a Dallas gas station and saw that he was homeless.
West played for the Dallas Mavericks from 2011-2012.
Once Cuban picked up West he was then reunited with his mother at a hotel and his family was able to put together a plan to get him further assistance.
Cuban had been releasing updates on West’s recovery status over the past several months. Last October, he posted a phot of West on horseback and expressed that “he had a long way to go,” but thanked everyone for their love and support.
Delonte West played in the NBA from 2004-2012 after helping lead the Hawks to an undefeated regular season during the 03’-04’ season that was topped off by an Elite 8 appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
