Dallas Teen Becomes Youngest U.S-Born Pro Player

3kviews

Dallas’s own Dink Pate, 17, from L.G. Pinkston Highschool is now the youngest American-born professional basketball player in the country.

Pate, who’s ranked 13th in the nation and is a 5-star shooting guard, turned down some of the nation’s top colleges and signed to play 2 years in the NBA’s minor league program.

The 6’8 point guard is scheduled to start training next month at the NBA’s G-League Ignite program in Las Vegas.

At only 17 years old, Pate graduated early in order to chase his dreams of playing in the NBA. He’ll be eligible for the NBA draft in 2025 at only 19-years-old.
