An investigation is under way after two officers were struck by gunfire Thursday afternoon.
Officers responded to a shooting call on the 5300 block of Bonita Avenue.
Upon arrival shots were fired and two officers were struck.
Authorities and DFR were able to safely get officers and transport them to Baylor hospital where they were treated for non life threatening injuries.
SWAT was notified and quickly came and set up a perimeter.
After several attempts to get the suspect out of the residence SWAT made entry and found a male and female deceased inside from apparent gunshot wounds.
Authorities believe the male inside struck both officers, officers did not return fire.
The deceased persons identities have not been released at this time.
This investigation remains ongoing.
