Dallas Police Sergeant Placed On Administrative Leave For Criminal Misconduct

A Dallas police sergeant has turned herself in and is facing multiple charges of criminal misconduct.

On March 25 Sergeant Katherine Silvia turned herself into Dallas PD stemming from an indictment charge back in 2023.

There was a 3 month investigation that led authorities to believe that Sergeant Silva engaged in falsifying time cards, forging documents, and committing theft.

On August 11, 2023 a referral was sent to the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office regarding Silva.

As of now Silva is facing charges of theft ranging from $2500-$30,000, tampering with government records and false statement property/ credit ranging from $2500- $30,000.

Silva is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
